A Living Wage

Michiganders are fortunate enough to live in a state which has an $8.90 an hour minimum wage, which is $1.65 an hour higher than the federal minimum wage. However, when adjusted for inflation, the minimum wage has dropped $0.68 an hour since 1968 (EPI), while cost of living and expenses have continues to increase. The American Dream is out of reach for most of us, while the rich continue to consolidate their wealth at the top.

Americans who are willing to work should be paid a living wage.
